KT Bordeline Breaks Fresh In The Club on 96.1 FM WTTH

Fresh Produce....

T Gunns , Raymond "DJ T Man" Tyler and Kevin at The New WTTH Studio

This Sunday I have the pleasure of "OFFICIALLY" introducing South Jersey and AC to KT Borderline and their new single Fresh In The Club.

I use the quotes because over 2 million people have already made Fresh In The Club a Youtube Smash hit record.  Oh that's right they don't make records anymore. So let's say it's a smash video and single.

Never let it be said that my being late to a party stopped me from enjoying myself.
That being the case I may have been about the one millionth (and change) person to click on youtube but I definitely know what works in the club when I hear it. FRESH IN THE CLUB ...WORKS HARD. It is officially part of my party record rotation.

The lyrics by rappers Tommy Gunns and K-Real motivate you to have fun, enjoy the girls and the party life.
The beat motivates you to move your behind while enjoying the girls and the party life.

If you haven't seen the video yet? Check it out now...you do not want to be the 3 millionth person to a party, plus you want to be EARLY for their next single.

Then when your friends hear it on Sunday you can say "that's been my jam." Then sit tight as KT Bordeline give us the deal on success, where they came from and what's next.

Come out and meet KT Borderline and see them perform Fresh In The Club at The AC Beat Block Party on June 22nd.

Rudi Macaggi "Daring World of Wonder" hits Trump Taj Mahal

Don't Try This At Home Or On The Road
Words By Raymond Tyler

When I was a kid I saw Globe Trotter Curley Neal spin a basket ball on his finger.

At the time I thought that would be the hardest thing I would see some one do with a ball.
If you were amazed by The Globetrotters, you really want to check out Acro-Comedian, Rudi Macaggi who can actually spin on his head (no hands) on a basket ball.

Straight from America's Got Talent Rudi Macaggi will be appearing for free at Trump Taj Mahal's grand concourse.

Trump Taj Mahal announced it will be home to “The Acromedian” Rudi Macaggi for the summer.  Rudi and his beautiful assistant will present his Daring World of Wonder everyFriday, Saturday and Sunday in the Main Concourse at Trump Taj Mahal.  Performances are free and will be at 7:30pm and 9:30pm on Fridays, 4:30pm, 7:30pm and 9:30pm on Saturdays and 12:30pm and 2:30pm on Sundays.  Each show lasts approximately 20 minutes and is free to the public.

This should be fun for the whole family.

In the meantime I am going to buy a red white and blue basket ball and start trying to balance that on my finger again.

The Fast Life
Words By Raymond Tyler

This weekend is about cars that Cadillac's want to be when they hit the lottery.
The Vignetto Rally this weekend will celebrate the lifestyle of the owners of cars that are fast enough to make Speed Racer mutter curse words and expensive enough to ...well let's just say I could buy myself a car with the tax and tag fee of these classics.

The rides promise to be pretty and the events will showcase the best of everything that a man with a big bank account could want and need. By the way, there are ladies of success that enjoy the fast life as well.

So if you want to ball to you fall? This may not be the show for you.
If you are already searching for spoilers for Fast and Furious (whatever the next one is?) This may not be your car show.
However, if you are looking to be around cars that are themselves works of art? You can have a good time here.

Also if you own something that The Vignet people consider a classic sports car you can even be a part of the weekend event.

Shawn R. Jones Writes Un Hinged: THE FRONT PORCH

Editors Note: In this edition of Writing Unhinged our columnist Shawn R. Jones shares an experience that made her take stock of what is more important "THINGS" or the GOD that provides them and the FAMILY you are blessed to share them with.

This is an excerpt from my next devotional:
The Front Porch
By Shawn R. Jones
“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’
Matthew 25:21
A three-story abandoned brownstone sat in the middle of our block.  It seemed as if the only things holding it up were the two houses it was positioned between.  The same maroon chipped paint that framed the boarded up windows and doors also trimmed the small rickety porch. From a child’s perspective, I am sure the house looked “haunted.”  I was quite nervous walking by it myself, and I certainly never walked by it at night. Too me, it seemed to serve no purpose at all, except for the many insects and rodents it housed, until I rode by it early one morning.
On that morning, there was a tan mound on that rickety porch.  At first I couldn’t tell what it was, so I stopped my car and stared out the driver’s side window.  There was someone sleeping under a tan coat.  My heart shuddered and my throat tightened.  She twisted, rolled over, and stood up.  I put my foot on the gas and proceeded to parallel park.  After I parked, I got out of my car and looked down the block before I put my key in my front door. I was so shocked by what I saw next.  The lady was using the coat to sweep the porch, her porch, her home.
Compared to that homeless woman, I have so much, and yet I still complain. Her coat was her blanket, her pillow, and her broom.  That was over fifteen years ago. I don’t know where she is now, but I can still see her sweeping.  It was also during this time that my elderly neighbor used to complain that I didn’t clean off my own porch well enough.  I gave her the poorest excuse I could think of, “I don’t clean it because it never stays clean.” There was a bird’s nest above my front door and the birds left raindrops of poop across the gray painted wood. It was an unpleasant sight that I seldom swept.  My neighbor would fuss, “Girl, you need to get some bleach and clean that porch off!”  I was thinking, Is she serious?! The inside of my house is enough to clean.  I don’t have time to worry about a porch. I am sure I would have felt differently if the porch was all I had.
We acquire so much that each one of our possessions becomes less and less significant to us.   What did a porch mean to me when I had a beautiful two-story brownstone behind it loaded with tons of things?  Now, if a storm or fire destroyed the gray wooden posts that held the porch up, the porch would suddenly become a priority.  Isn’t this how we sometimes treat many of our possessions?  Isn’t that also how we also treat some of the people in our lives?
P1070307
Take an inventory of everything you own.  You can do this mentally, but it would be best if you could write it down on paper.  And because you are so blessed, this could take you hours, so I suggest you plan on writing this list over a period of a few days, or a few weeks, or a few months. Once you are well into this exercise, you are going to realize that I have asked you to do an impossible task because you have so much you cannot write it all down. What you might want to do instead is give away some of that stuff that you never get a chance to use.  Once you have done that, maybe you will take better care of the things you actually need.
Speaking of needs, let’s move on to the people in our lives.  I know it’s sometimes difficult to accept that we need people.  I guess that’s why it’s difficult for us to thank them sometimes. But there are people we should take a moment to thank.  They are worth the time.  They are also worth the small gesture. Who has God placed in your life to be a blessing to you? I can think of a few people in my life I should thank with a small bouquet of flowers, lunch, or at the least, a phone call.  Some people just need to hear the sincerity of your voice.  They need to hear you say, “I love you.  I appreciate you.  Thank you for being there for me.”  You know, thanking people sometimes makes us feel awkward, but imagine how you would feel if they were no longer there.  How would you feel if the porch suddenly collapsed?
Dear Lord, I have learned so much from watching that homeless woman sweep the porch of an abandoned house with her coat.  I don’t even know if she is still homeless or alive today, but my prayer is that you bless her wherever she is.  She has indeed blessed me. Let her know that her life is significant and full of meaning and purpose.  Shelter her, wherever she may be. Amen.

AC Beat and The Voice Of Philadelphia Newest Column : Un HINGING Shawn R. Jones

UNHINGED NOW...words By Raymond Tyler

If I had to choose between $100,00 cash and VISION? I would choose VISION 10 times out of 10 times because I believe if you don't have vision, you still have to HIRE someone that has it.

One of the most VISIONARY people, artist, writers I know is Mrs. Shawn Regina Jones.

For the past 5 years or so Mrs. Jones has been helping me see my personal visions through to end with the support I needed to complete my book SHINY BOXES to investing in advertising on my radio shows.

So when Mrs. Jones agreed to be a columnist for The AC Beat and The Voice Of Philadelphia, I got excited because now her words will be here to help us all complete our GOALS as she writes about COMPLETING HERS (and a lot of other great topics.)

You can read her blog at anytime by clicking this link below or finding her page up top.

For Your Inspiration: Campaign Fatigue

Campaign Fatigue By Raymond Tyler

So today is the day before election day and here I sit with another full blown case of Campaign Fatigue.

For the last several weeks I have explained to friends, family, colleagues and anyone that would listen that I was not taking sides in the upcoming Atlantic City Election.

The quick is answer as to why I refused to take sides is because (truthfully) politicians in AC and their supporters take almost everything personally.

I will discuss that and the longer answers tomorrow as I call for healing to begin.

No matter who wins as mayor, city council, and other offices, I hope I will maintain the great working and professional relationships we have today.
Though, I realize I have no control over how the winners will view me professionally and I have less control over who will actually be in the big chairs this time next year.

What I can control is doing what I can to be able to walk up to the great people that are running and shake their hands and know there is "NO MUD" on my hands.

I can also know that if we work together moving forward or not, I don't owe anything nor am I owned anything.

I will continue to prey that God continues finds favor with me. I will pray God continues to bless my hard work with opportunities.

________________________________

The nasty things that have been said about everyone that is running for office is what has really let me down and sometimes made me ashamed as someone born in Atlantic City. I also have dropped my head because I have worked with so many of the people on both sides of The Democratic Party and some of those in The Republican Party. Over the years these great men and women have helped my business to do things like get school supplies into the hands of needy children, get clothes and food to people effected by Sandy and I am coming up on my 5 year of collecting new toys for needy kids at Christmas.

BEFORE YOU VOTE
  • In the past 365 days.  What businesses meant the most to your community, your family and you personally? Are you supporting them? Chances are, they may be in need of the same help and energy that you infuse into the election hype. Chances are they will continue to be  a source of help for you the next 365 days.
  • Develop a NON ELECTION PLAN. The one thing that the political process has taught me is that I don't respect many that wait for an election to help.
  • ELECT YOURSELF. No one in city hall or in council chambers or in Trenton will work as hard for you and YOU. Nor should they. IF YOU THINK CITY HALL OR TRENTON IS THE REASON WHY YOU HAVEN'T SUCCEEDED? You are wrong. We can argue has to whether they can help more. However, the government should not have the last word on YOUR ACHIEVEMENT.
  •  Ask yourself have YOU done EVERYTHING, SOMETHING, ANYTHING to help fix what's broke in your community? If the answer is no? NOTHING WILL CHANGE ON ELECTION DAY.

I wish everyone running luck.
I wish nothing but the best for Atlantic City, New Jersey and America.

Do We Give Celebs That Behave Badly a Pass?

Tonight on Saturday After Dark on 91.7 FM WLFR.
DO WE GIVE CELEBS A PASS?
Can I Find Someone To Admit.....
R.Kelly's nick name should at least be CAN'T GET RIGHT and he really should be doing jail time.

Why do we sugar coat behavior cause people have hit records?

Tune in from 8 to 10pm  at www.WLFR.FM

With Raymond Tyler and Author Turkessa Lee.

DJ T Man finds this picture offensive.

Poor Excuses By DJ Troubleman

People that actually take the time to read this will fall into three categories.

a. Some Will Be Offended and question whether "I am really down." (For the record, maybe you should offended and I am really down.)

b. Others will think I spend too much time, concerned with celebrity stuff. (For The Record...I am pretty balanced....it's the people that don't make hit records that I am concerned about being stalked by R. Kelly, or driving down the street when some random Dallas Cowboy comes down the other side of the road high out of their mind in a car that go from zero to one hundred. I want to make sure MY NIECE has her head screwed on straight when some pervert at a record company whats her to "do something strange for some change" and promises her a chance to DJ a party.

c. The other group is like me and will get this.

D. The group I care the least about are the one's that will get all upset and didn't take the time to read this far.

There was a time when I let a lot of  "FOOLISHNESS" slip in my personal life, with people I hung out with and with celebs.
I used to co-sign a lot of  dumb things.

Surprisingly enough when it comes to people like Charley Sheen that basically get blasted but don't hurt anyone but themselves I  still tend to give them a pass and pray that they find a way to enjoy their fame without causing their early demise.

However, when DJ Scott La Rock was murdered and I saw the turn around that KRS One made from gangster music, it started me to start growing up.

To paraphrase what Tupac would say years after La Rock's death "Gangster Rap Wasn't Saving Nobody."

So that's when I started to draw lines for myself. I started looking at culture with a critical eye.

I can't tell you how to live.
I write poetry that makes what I hope are powerful cases for some ideas on how to bring peace and order to one's life.

What I can say is this.

SOMETIMES PEOPLE OF COLOR REALLY EMBARRASS ME.
In the Trial Of R. Kelly episode of The Boondock's , Huey asked what I had been asking for a while.

"WHAT HAPPENED TO BARE MINIMUMS PEOPLE?"

We can debate forever as to the guilt needed to convict a R. Kelly, a Chris Brown, a Jay Z and others.

Somethings the jury should be set on like the fact that we all (myself included) need to be ashamed that we gave R. Kelly a pass for his relationship with a 14 year old Aaliyah. Somebody close to this young woman should have set that man straight PERIOD.

However, even after the whole Aaliyah mess, when Kelly came up on charges of STATUTORY RAPE again...there were people I talked to that actually blamed the victims for his behavior.

I can't tell you WHY people give passes to MILLIONAIRES to make songs that encourage Black Children to shoot, kill, prostitute and sell dope to each other? I have no clue why, when what is criminal behavior is alleged we get mad at the folks that want to examine and ask why and how? I don't know why not beating on a woman or not using illegal drugs is corny?

If you know the answers? Please share.

This is what I do know.

I am ashamed that R. Kelly's next CD will be gold and that people that look like my niece, my aunts, my mother will make it so and with out question blast it from their car stereo. I know that I pray I find the magic arrangement of words that will let my loved ones know that even if they choose to consume a diet of messed up lyrics, they shouldn't live by them. Lastly, I know this. That when the next person of any race decides that hit records, reality tv or pro sports contracts place them above the laws of man, science, nature and GOD, I will be praying for the innocent people in their path.
