Coming Saturday May 25th: The 70's Disco Dance Party (And we have tickets)

Dance Dance Dance
words by DJ Trouble Man

Saturday Resorts Atlantic City is bringing SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER to their Super Star Theater with not one but 4 iconic performers from the 1970's and early 80's.

Anita Ward charted with the classic RING MY BELL, that may be more popular in clubs around the country now than it was in 1979. Ring My Bell has been featured in so many movies it becomes new to more generations as the years pass. It can also be said that songs like Ring My Bell still move the crowd because they are so unique and the music today is just so "different" in tone and purpose.

Ring My Bell was a record made to make people dance, and from where I stand and spin...the product is still in working/dancing condition with no let up in sight.

Gloria Gaynor is also on the bill. Her hit I Will Survive is still the "I'm Done With This Ish" anthem that everything from Nothing Going On But The Rent to Let It Go is judged by.

Evelyn Champagne King will be in the building with her hits that never stopped packing the dance floor.
King had disco hits with Love Come Down, Betcha She don't Love You, but I will always love SHAME.
From the first note to the last note....SHAME is not only a record I need to play, I also need a dance partner to help me set it off when SHAME is on.

Rose Royce will be the only group performing but what a group? Put together by legendary producer Norman Whitfield, Rose Royce came out dominating the soul charts.

If I really have to explain why Car Wash, Love Don't Live Here Any More, and all of their hits matter and why you should see them? This may not be the show for you.

What I will say is that I saw Rose Royce when they performed at the Tom Joyner Sky Show in AC back in the 1990's and they did not disappoint in the least. If you missed them then? Make sure you catch Rose Royce this time.
