"Our Diversity is Our Strength."
The Women's Center is committed to providing equal treatment to our diverse community with a fully integrated and educated staff.  Diversity is our strength and we celebrate it by helping individuals of all ages, races, nationalities, religions, physical abilities and sexual orientations.  We pledge ourselves to creating and maintaining an environment that respects multiple traditions, heritages, and experiences.  Our goal is to eliminate discrimination by becoming change agents in the workplace and the community.
Our commitment statement is "Our diversity is our strength."
The Women's Center is committed to providing equal treatment to our diverse community with a fully integrated and education staff.  If the diversity of our staff creates a difficulty for you we can refer you to another agency.
Dismantling Racism Team
The Dismantling Racism Team is made up of four staff members, including CEO Claudia Ratzlaff, who were trained in the Dismantling Racism model through the New Jersey Coalition for Battered Women (NJCBW).  This team helps to be the steering committee for the other parts of the Cultural Competency Initiative.
The Caucuses
The Caucuses are made up of two groups -- The White Women's Caucus and The Women of Color Caucus.  The focus of The Caucuses is to dialogue and implement strategies of change within the organization.  The Caucuses initially meet together, break into the separate caucuses to dialogue about their experiences in the workplace and the community, and then reform as the larger caucuses to develop strategies. The Caucuses help to keep the staff involved accountable to the process and to create a forum for safe dialogue about racism and white privilege.
Training Team
The Women's Center is available to provide customized training for organizations, government partners, or nonprofit agencies interested in doing Cultural Competency and Dismantling Racism Initiatives.  For additional information about our training opportunities, please contact erin.ohanlon@acwc.org

The Women's Center recently performed "Things I Remember: A Dialogue on Racism in the US" on the campus of The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey .
