Good Night Jeffrey Townsend

Yesterday on Wednesday July 30th , 2014 ...The City Of Atlantic City and Southern New Jersey lost one of it's true musical soldiers.

And when I say soldier, I mean that Jeffrey Townsend was a decorated United States veteran as well as a soldier for the music industry in South Jersey.

Through his connections at La Grande Fromage and other venues, Townes worked hard to give artists a stage to showcase their talents.

No one will be able to take his place.

I personally am still in shock.

I will however remember Jeff as a great human being that tried hard and made success easier for those coming after.

Stay tuned to www.TheAtlanticCityBeat.com for more info and responses to the shocking passing of Jeffrey Townsend.

Trump Taj Mahal announces Country Superstars Rascal Flatts will perform at the Arena on Saturday, October 11. Showtime is at 8pm. Tickets are $159, $99, and $69 plus a $2 facility fee. Tickets go on sale Saturday, August 2 at 10am. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster or at the Taj box office.

Since their musical debut in 2000, Rascal Flatts has over 22.5 million albums sold and over 28 million digital downloads and delivered 15 #1 singles to the top of the charts. Rascal Flatts is the most awarded Country group of the past decade, earning over 40 trophies from the ACAs, ACMs, AMAs, CMAs, People's Choice Awards and more. As one of the hottest-selling acts on tour in any genre, they’ve sold over 7 million concert tickets, and counting.

This past May, Rascal Flatts proved once again why they are the most-awarded Country vocal group of the past decade with the release of their ninth album, REWIND, which quickly climbed to mark Flatts' eighth consecutive studio album to debut at #1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart. Meanwhile, the title track marked their 15th #1 hit single after making the ascend on the Mediabase Country Radio chart.

Their list of hits constitutes one of the great bodies of work in modern country music, with "These Days," "Bless the Broken Road," "What Hurts The Most," "My Wish," "Take Me There" and "Here Comes Goodbye" as just the tip of an ever-expanding iceberg. Their performances are state-of-the art, house-rocking extravaganzas, sold-out excursions into musical excitement that have included as opening acts some of this generation's great artists, including Taylor Swift, Blake Shelton and Jason Aldean.
